Access to Top-Tier Military Talent

With Ft. Leavenworth located in Leavenworth and Ft. Riley just two hours away, Leavenworth County is uniquely positioned to access the wealth of talent and skills our military possess upon leaving the service. Ft. Leavenworth is the “intellectual center of the Army,” drawing many officers and senior enlisted, and each year many of those senior personnel retire or separate from the Army from Ft. Leavenworth.

Many of these service members have degrees, certifications, and experience in project management, engineering, logistics, and human resources, making them a highly qualified and desirable source of workforce. LCDC can assist businesses with connecting to retiring military members through the Ft. Leavenworth Transition Assistance Program’s Career Skills Program and Ft. Leavenworth Career Fairs.
